Net Affect of British in Africa

Positive:

• British brought the modern world to Africa
• British provided education
• British gave the Africans a variety of jobs to choose from
• Helped countries in Africa become democratic
• Made life easier, like finding ways to control the flooding in Madagascar
• Resources were found and helped trade in Africa
• Brought Africa to where it is today
  

Negative:

• Slaves were tortured
  
• Black people weren't paid the same amount as white
• Africans were given the worst job conditions possible
• British separated African families
• Many minerals were stolen from Africa by the British.
